According to WrestleVotes, McMahon wasn’t interested in having former Universal Champion Reigns battle WWE Champion AJ Styles on November 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

But then The Big Dog relinquished RAW’s premier title and went back home to undergo treatment and battle the horrible disease once more.

WWE probably needed to come up with new plans and decided to have Brock Lesnar win the vacant belt at WWE Crown Jewel and set up another Smackdown vs RAW-themed Survivor Series.

Lesnar will battle Styles for the second season in a row during the legendary Pay-Per-View show following last year’s incredible bout that saw the Universal Champion prevailing.

WrestleVotes tweeted: “Regarding Survivor Series: As said previously, a source (which has been spot on) stated this year’s show wasn’t going to be much RAW v Smackdown.

“That has definitely changed.“Unfortunately, when the Roman Reigns news hit, creative went upside down.

“For whatever reason, Vince did not want Reigns vs Styles at the PPV, therefore the thought of doing a RAW vs SD show was out the window.

Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will go one-on-one with US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura whereas Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Bar swill battle RAW Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain.

RAW will be represented by Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman and two unnamed stars against Team Smackdown’s Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Shane McMahon, Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio.
